Winning Characteristics Scholarship
General Information
For the 2009-2010 academic year, Making It Count will award one first-place,
$2,500 and two runner-up, $500 one-time award scholarships to high school
seniors who participated in the Making College & Career Count presentation and
who exhibited excellence based on the "Winning Characteristics" highlighted in
the program.
The 2010 Winning Characteristics Scholarship begins January 4, 2010. Applications submitted or post-marked prior to the scheduled date of the student’s high school’s Making College & Career Count presentation will not be accepted, and will be made null and void. Deadline is FRIDAY, JUNE 11, 2010. Winners will be selected and notified after August 31, 2010. .
Application Process
The application includes general information, as well as a 450-600-word
essay (to write a great essay, read "Essay
Tips") on how well the student has demonstrated the "Winning
Characteristics" discussed in the Making College & Career Count program in
his or her high school career.
